THE SOUTH SOLON MEETING HOUSE is located in rural central Maine. Built in 1842, its podium, pews, choir loft, windows and steeple are original and it is on the National Historic Register. In the 1950's an exemplary community-building project covered the walls and ceiling in fresco.
